LATEST NEWS in our fight to legalise vaping in Australia

What a year this has been - with the bushfires and then the COVID pandemic. And of course in June, the government wanted to ban the import of nicotine vaping products, then in July the nicotine ban was put on hold.
In October, the Australian Senate formed a Select Committee to investigate Tobacco Harm Reduction, vaping and e-cigarettes. Its report was published last Friday, 18 December.
LATEST NEWS
On Monday 21 December, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) announced its latest position on vaping. (The TGA oversees the classification and assessment of nicotine e-cigarette products in Australia. They make the rules.)
The good news is that Australians can continue to import e-cigarettes and vaping supplies for personal use online. Vapers will still require a medical prescription for nicotine, and after 1 October 2021, this will be enforced more strictly by the Australian Border Force.
You can read the details here on the TGA website. This diagram from the TGA shows how the process works.
